Little League from a Simpler Time

I used to live right up the street from Legion Field in St. Johnsbury, and I could see the lights and hear the baseball games in the summer, which I think is one of the most exciting and comforting sounds for some reason. One night in the summer of 2019 I heard a game starting up and I walked down with my recorder. It was the Little League playoffs—the Giants vs the Red Sox. I recorded the game, which was exciting, and I made a story for Vermont Public. I love these guys so much, and I also love that this story was recorded before the pandemic, and you can sort of HEAR it in the tape. Anyway, I think about these guys all the time so I figured I’d share it with you here.
