It’s amazing. An entire planet of people living mostly in isolation…or those of us lucky enough to be well. It’s the darkest thing to happen in my lifetime, but also strangely the most unifying. We’re all experiencing the very same thing at the same time, but not together. Which is why I wanted to make this show.
I asked you to send me recordings from where you are so we could make a show about all of us. And you did. And they are remarkable, and there are too many to make just one show. So I’m going to just keep making this show, called Our Show, for as long as you want to to send me your recordings from wherever you are in isolation. And we can keep each other company. So here goes.
More!
Keep sending recordings! Your handwashing, your arguments, your thoughts in the middle of the night…your songs and hummings….whatever. And tell your friends to send their recordings too. Just email me at rumblestripvermont@gmail.com, or send files via wetransfer.com.

Dear Erica
As a long time friend of your sister and a Hyde parent I am writing to tell you how much I enjoyed this entry to your Rumblestrip! Melissa has talked of you so often and I think I may have met you in the lovely kitchen of Jeff and Melissa’s St J home.. We will return to our Joes Pond home probably early May..hopefully our few neighbors will accept us! Stay well and keep providing your wonderful entries!

Wow this was almost to much! Made me cry. Lovely -Sarah in southern VT
Lovely tribute to these “interesting” and crazy times. And nicely done, as usual.
You sure captured Gary & Deb. My conversations with one or the other of them sound just like that.
I look forward to hearing more.
And, can I play them on my show?
Brilliant. I loved this! Thank you — a bright spot in our day in Hardwick.
Beautiful editing! Stunning capture of the pathos.

Great show great idea great to connect…thankyou! This programme made me weep a little…I am in Portugal in the hills in the Algarve with my brother…we miss our family and friends in Scotland but we are lucky to have a house and food and heat…very lucky… i am acutely aware of poverty now and injustice in the world..meditation and manifesting a positive future is my aim..
A su(per)real experience, listening to this show. Beautiful and haunting. Can’t wait for more.
Erica this was so wonderful. I really loved it. Wanted to send hugs to Helena in NYC. She made me cry – and that was a very loud fridge. and Tristan’s singing was the perfect lonely howl in the night. Thank you for doing this! <3
What a wonderful idea…but I keep on getting episode 3 here. Not sure why.
Thanks for your efforts. I do enjoy these stories. We are under complete lock down here in NZ. Our PM seems to be doing a very good job with concern for all. Unlike some unnamed others.
Be well people and you too Erica.
Christopher.
PS I still owe you a t-shirt pic…
Send tape from New Zealand!!
Episode 001 was wonderful. Superb.
I know I will enjoy those following.
… I’m going to recommend a friend restarts his musical career by sending a audio file.
You rock.
… I came to your show via Scott Carrier who rocks as well; has done for decades.

Send me your recordings Jack! Your weird life in pandemic narrations..
This is outstanding, Erica! There is a section during this show when you intersperse a man’s sermon on the Power Of Nature with a little girl eloquently guiding her mother through a meditation on the beauty of the beach—and the two monologues intertwine with astonishing unity. The way this passage culminates is breathtaking—and the artistry of your orchestration inspires Cosmic Awe…
Cosmic awe? I’ll take it! Thank you Thomas.
Thanks Erica for this amazing show!! I feel more unified, just by listening.
