The guy who sings Oh, Holy Night. If you know who this is, please, please write to me at rumblestripvermont@gmail.com
NEWS FLASH: Listener/Investigator Patrick Freebern did some digging and discovered the original singer of the song, Steve Mauldin of Tennessee. On YouTube. (Duh?). And here is a video featuring Steve of Tennessee, speaking at great length about how he is the original singer on this recording.
The Dogs
Oh my god Erica, that was spectacular!
Not only was the update spot-on but your music choice just made my Holiday!
I cannot emphasize enough how much I loathe, despise, hate – there’s really no word bad enough to encompass my feelings about X-mas songs. They turn my stomach, hurt my brain and make my ears bleed.
I *LOVED* that rendition of Oh Holy Night – absolutely loved it, and laughed my ass off as the final note faded out. Thank You, Steve Mauldin!
And Thank You Erica- for the novel experience (enjoying a Christmas Carol),
and for producing such a quality and entertaining show. I really appreciate what you do!
I am so glad you liked it! And I’m with you….Steve Mauldin gave us a big gift with this song. It will stay with me forever.
