The sock went missing in November, was encased in ice in someone’s driveway, and yesterday it was released. The end of winter is nigh everyone. This is for real.
It’s time again for a sampling from the Barre and Montpelier police logs, as reported in the Times Argus. This month saw a disproportionate number of shovel incidents. There were keys lost and found. A juvenile was out of control on Crest Street. Come listen.
The police log is read by radio producer Scott Carrier. Scott’s new podcast, Home of the Brave, has LAUNCHED, and I highly recommend you subscribe to it. He’s one of the most interesting radio producers anywhere. I’ve spent whole days binge-listening to his shows. It’s time well spent.
Music by Hayvanlar Alemi. The song is titled Crossroad Metamorphosis
I’m a Vermonter currently living in Fontainebleau, France. Thank you for keeping me supplied with interesting news from home.
You are MOST welcome Sara! The world here is becoming more hospitable by the day. I am hopeful there will be fewer shovel related incidents next month.
I’ve always loved – and read – the police log. The absurdity of it, and the sadness. I think it’s good to know about. I appreciate your presentation of some of the highlights. Great idea!
I love your show! I was wondering if you could tell me the name of the song that’s played during Scott’s reading of ‘police log’. I would really appreciate it. Thanks for the great work you do!
If anyone was wondering….and had an itch to listen before Erica gets the link up ;-). The song is titled ‘crossroad metamorphosis’ by Hayvanlar Alemi.
